McCann winner in 2010 as Agency of the Year

Joining McCann Worldgroup as an Art Director in 2009 was a pivotal moment in my career, and little did I know then that this would mark the beginning of an incredible journey. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working across various industries, collaborating with talented professionals, and contributing to the success of numerous advertising campaigns. In this article, I want to share my experiences and highlight some of the remarkable projects I've been fortunate to be a part of during my time at McCann.

Throughout the projects I have had the opportunity to delve into a diverse range of industries, each presenting its own unique set of creative challenges. From creating captivating advertisements for shopping malls like Mall Aventura Plaza, to crafting compelling campaigns for brewery giants like SABMiller, my role as an Art Director allowed me to explore different sectors and understand the nuances of each industry. From crafting visually stunning advertisements for vehicles like Chevrolet, to developing compelling communication for Yell Group, each project pushed the boundaries of creativity and allowed me to further hone my skills as an Art Director.

It is worth mentioning that the collective efforts of our team at McCann Worldgroup were recognized and celebrated. In 2010, we were honored with the prestigious McCann WorldGroup Agency of the Year award, a testament to the dedication, creativity, and excellence that permeated throughout the agency.

The McCann WorldGroup was named the agency of the year by Anda Award in 2010

ANDA Peru is an affiliate of the World Federation of Advertisers, which is headquartered in Belgium and is an affiliate of the World Federation of Advertisers. With more than 50 national associations and 30 corporate members in more than 90 countries representing more than 90% of the world's investments, this is the only international organization that represents the interests of advertisers.

It is my pleasure to share below the printed news that shows the celebration with the McCann Worldgroup team during the presentation of the Best Agency of the Year Award for Excellence in 2010. To identify myself, I was circulated within a circle of white line.

MALL AVENTURA PLAZA

Mall Aventura Plaza is a chain of regional shopping malls anchored by multiple department stores and hypermarkets. In Chile, there are 11 locations, in Peru, there are four, and in Colombia there is one. Under this brand, the parent company operates Falabella department stores and Tottus hypermarkets.

As an Art Director for Mall Plaza, I developed numerous 360 campaigns that included billboards, print advertisements, radio spots, and various collateral materials to be displayed within the shopping center, as showcased in the following advertising pieces.







SABMiller

The SABMiller Company is a multinational brewing and beverage company based in London, England. In addition to being a major bottler of Coca-Cola, it is also the second-largest brewer by revenue in the world (after Anheuser-Busch InBev). It has 80 countries where its brands are distributed, including Fosters, Grolsch, Miller, Peroni, and Pilsner Urquell, among others.
In Peru, there is a large brewery known as Backus and Johnston that is one of the largest breweries in the world. Furthermore, it is a member of the international SABMiller group of companies. For example, here are a few samples of how the company works with SABMiller as Backus y Johnston






CHEVROLET

The Chevrolet Division of General Motors Company, also known as Chevy, is an American automobile manufacturer owned by General Motors (GM).

As part of the McCann creative team, I came up with ideas for press ads and promotions that were designed to sell cars to consumers. Check out some of the projects we have worked on with Chevrolet




YELL GROUP

The YELL Group plc is a company that provides telephone directories for the UK, US, Spain, Argentina, Chile, and Peru, as well as other similar services. In order to help small businesses thrive, they offer discount prices on marketing services for their businesses.
Generally speaking, "Yellow Pages" refers to a telephone directory in which businesses are organized by categories, rather than alphabetically, and in which advertising is available for purchase.

Below, I would like to share some of the cherished memories I have of my time at McCann Worldgroup, as well as highlight the exceptional colleagues I had the pleasure of working alongside.

McCann Worldgroup was not just a workplace for me; it was a vibrant community of talented individuals who shared a passion for creativity and advertising. The collaborative environment fostered a sense of camaraderie and teamwork, making every day an exciting and fulfilling experience.

One of my fondest memories was working on a high-profile campaign for a renowned client. The entire team came together, pooling their expertise and creative energy to bring the campaign to life. Witnessing the synergy and dedication of my colleagues was truly inspiring. From brainstorming sessions that sparked innovative ideas to late-night editing sessions that polished every detail, these memories stand as a testament to the incredible talent and commitment within the McCann Worldgroup family.

I also had the privilege of collaborating with extraordinary colleagues who played an instrumental role in shaping my professional growth. From experienced Creative Directors who provided guidance and mentorship to enthusiastic junior team members who brought fresh perspectives, each person contributed their unique skills and insights to elevate our work.

Beyond the confines of our day-to-day projects, we also formed deep friendships and shared countless laughs together. Lunch breaks turned into moments of camaraderie, where we would gather in the agency's communal spaces, sharing stories, discussing new trends, and inspiring each other. These connections created a supportive and motivating atmosphere, where we could learn from one another and push the boundaries of our creative abilities.

In addition to the creative collaborations and friendships, McCann Worldgroup also fostered a culture of recognition and celebration. Whether it was acknowledging individual achievements or team successes, the agency made sure to honor our hard work. Awards ceremonies, team outings, and celebrations for successful campaigns became memorable occasions that not only recognized our accomplishments but also strengthened the sense of unity and pride within the agency.

Looking back, I am grateful for the incredible memories and experiences I had at McCann Worldgroup. The dynamic and inspiring environment, combined with the exceptional colleagues I had the pleasure of working with, shaped me both personally and professionally. The lessons learned, the friendships forged, and the impactful campaigns created will forever hold a special place in my heart.
